Cayucos, CA: California State Parks will be removing two non-functioning culverts from two creeks located within Estero Bluffs State Park. A large concrete box culvert will be removed from San Geronimo Creek and a smaller corrugated metal pipe culvert will be removed from Swallow Creek. The project will prevent further erosion, restore riparian habitat and enhance visual aesthetics within the park. In cooperation with the California Conservation Corps, California State Parks will commence the project when conditions permit, between Monday September 1, 2010 and October 15th, 2010
Funding for the project was obtained as part of the park acquisition through efforts by the Trust for Public Lands and the Cayucos Land Conservancy.
